Lincs BOx Event Waiver

By registering for the event, participants confirm that they have read and will at all times comply with the event’s rules.  By signing, participants also confirm that they understand that the route, being across countryside, is uneven and slippery with trip hazards (twigs, branches, weeds, mud and stones etc) along much of the route.  There also may be branches that riders and runners should be aware of. Both the 10k and 5k runs include fences which have bales to aid crossing and carpet over barbed wire but they may be difficult for dogs and less able people.   They also accept that the route includes road crossings (and road sections for bikers) where they should abide by the Highway Code and take great care when crossing, riding and running on road sections. At road crossings dogs must be on a short lead (Canicross should be able to rein their dog in) and all participants must stop before crossing or joining the road when clear.

There will be marshals at some runners’ crossings but they will not tell you if it is safe to cross. That is your responsibility.

Entrants also acknowledge that there is a risk of injury and/or damage involved in the event and in their capacity as participant or parent/guardian of a participant they confirm that they understand that the organisers accept no liability for any injuries and/or damage to property arising during the event and that participants are solely responsible for ensuring their own safety and that of other participants, road and trail users and members of the public.

By signing, participants acknowledge that the event route includes tracks across private land that are only accessible by kind permission of the land owners on the day of the event and agree to use those tracks at no other times.
