Belchford and Fulletby Summer Fete

A great day out for all with a good turnout from the villages and beyond. Lots of cakes, ice cream, baked potatoes, games, drinks and lots of socialising.

Well done for all the hard work organising and running the day by all the organisers and volunteers.

£730 pounds was raised

Belchford Tractor Run

Another great turnout for this great event.

About 35 tractors and drivers had a great run round the wolds on a route sorted out and led by John Smith after a hearty breakfast at Glebe Farm. The run was followed by an equally hearty lunch at the Village Hall.

Well done all the organisers and volunteers.

The Annual Lane Letting Event

Took place on the 28th June at the Blue Bell Inn Belchford

This is an ancient way of raising funds for the village and keeping the verges in good order. The idea is that you would bid on a verge of your choice which would, in the past, have given you rights to graze or crop for hay although this is now fictional ownership, half of the money will go to support the upkeep of our village furniture, and the other half to be decided - ideas welcome but must be community based.

Another afternoon of fun with people bidding strongly on these verges.

£265 was raised for the village furniture and other community based projects.

The Big Lunch, Took Place on Belchford and Fulletby Village Green, 7th June

A great event. Thank you to the organisers and to the CoOp who provided some food as well as all those attending who brought food along. Unfortunately I only made it for the last hour as people were tidying up but everyone enjoyed themselves.

I will try and get some photos to put up later.

Blue Bell Chilli and Quiz night

Another interesting and enjoyable quiz night in the Blue Bell. Looking forward to the next one.

There is another quiz night in the Blue Bell this Tuesday 19th May.

Tickets £14.95 per person including quiz entry. If not having the excellent food, £2.50 per person for just the quiz.

Table Top Sale took place on 2nd May

There was a table top sale in the Village Hall on Saturday 2nd May .

Lots of stalls and several sales round the village. Excellent cakes and good company. A good chance to meet some new villagers and have a nice chat. It looked very busy when I went. When I know how much it raised, Ill put it on here. Thank you to James and all the volunteers and stall holders. Well done.

Blue Bell Pie & Quiz Night Tuesday 7th April

An excellent well attended evening with all pies eaten!

A hard quiz tested the brains of all competitors.

A great evening and the first of many we hope.

The Blue Bell opened on Friday March 6th for locals and regular customers to meet the new tenants. It was a lovely evening with the pub packed. A great buffet was laid on and celebrations went on late. They Blue Bell will be open Wednesdays till Sundays for drinks and will be serving food with a full menu as soon as a chef is appointed. This should be very soon. Keep checking here or on their Facebook page for updates.

We are really looking forward to great success for the Blue Bell and meeting up with our friends regularly again.
